Maradon has stated, several times if I recall correctly, that EQ itself is a great game. I think it is also.Yet it has its flaws, and quite big ones. Maradon complains about the flaws, not the game.
Thank you.
New iksar monk quest is hinted at... possibly an alterante path to the epic, or maybe even an alternate epic item (like the Greenmist for iksar SKs). Wonde if iksars still have the option of doing it the old way? I already have my red sash and purple headband, don't want to have to start from scratch.

I am not looking forward to this. I actually have my RotLC. If this means what I think it means, expect to hear me bitching in the near future.

Check out the big brain on Pesco!
Come back when you actually know what the damn spell does Delphi. Since you obviously dont. Mana Sieves are gud, bitch all you want, but the spell works.
Have you CAST the spell yourself, Pesco? Have you done it in PvP to see if the mana does indeed go down? I didnt think so.
I have the spell. I've TESTED IT MYSELF. When you've done that, then you can talk.

Since I have yet to see anyone but YOU complain the Mana Sieve doesnt work.. how about you provide me some proof that is doesnt. I know that the stun component is missing, but to my knowledge, Verant stated it was never to be implemented with a stun.

Even though Pesco himself is not a Paladin, I can tell you he plays daily with a handful Paladins who are about, oh, a bajillion times more knowledgable than you. Trust me, if the spell didn't work, he'd hear about it from them.

Lay off. I know what the hell I'm talking about.
Just because you can parse a file that yer not supposed to parse doesnt mean you are oh-so-infinately more knowlageable then me. I have cast the spell. I have cast it on myself. I've resisted it, I've gotten hit by it, BOTH times, the same mana was deducted. 75. All those other paladins just trust their spdat parsers implicitly. Excuse the hell out of me for not trusting verant for a second, or for actually wanting to figure out what it does(n't) do for myself.
When you get a paladin to 49, cast this and can prove me wrong, maybe THEN I'll listen to you. Till then, stuff it.
Low level so any changes in his mana level might be more apparent.
I have the spell, maybe I'll test it when I get home.

We aren't speaking from our own experiences, we are speaking from what we've been told by other Paladins who have used the spell and are higher than you. See Nae. Also see other Paladins in Pesco's guild, who are quite knowledgable. You don't need to play a Paladin to have other Paladins tell you "Yup, works just fine for me, I don't know what he's talking about."

Now let's get one thing clear, Thunder of Karana does indeed suck. Mobs without Argyl will regen 100 mana before the spell even recycles, this renders the spell pretty much worthless. As to if the spell actually does drain mobs of mana, good question.
When I tried to cast the spell on myself I got a "Tyewa attempts to cast a spell on you but you are protected" message. Now this is really odd, you can cast most spells on yourself, no matter how harmful. This leads me to believe that the mana drain component does indeed work, but the effect is so slight and worthless that it's not hard to think that it's broken.
So I conclude that while the spell is not broken, it does indeed suck ass and might as well be removed.

hehehe... never once said it didnt suck I just knew it worked. I also see it as somewhat beneficial. Could possibly change a mob from CHealing to an SHeal instead. Beneficial in that sense.

Exactly what happened today. The first thing to be up was vindi/statue so we went for those (I won a hammer of battle, yay me ). Kael had 100+ People in it, we haven't had a real race for vindi in ages. And I hear they seriously messed up NToV. A guild that used to clear it in 1-2 nights wiped on the first dragon (I think it was aaryonar or something like that) about 2-4 times.
Aary's guards are now his pets and cannot be split from him. This probably doubles the difficulty of the encounter, which is in many ways sad. Just as more guilds were getting to the point of being able to go to ntov they slam the door shut on them.

They gave them mana finally?
HOT DAMN!
And Delphi, its possible they made it so Mana Seive does not effect yourself, I mean, the enc version drains quite abit.
