Actually, I do have alot of fun. But posts like this tend to give me bad first impressions of people. Usually, if a first impression is a bad one, I steer clear of said people. First impressions are lasting and stick in most people's minds. Of course this is just a piece of advice. I am probably grouped in with those who don't have a sense of humor. *shrug*

Oh as far as the 'my thread' thing.. I think the final call would have to be the moderators. If they decide that someone seems to be trolling, then they will step in. Otherwise, its basically a free for all. Learn to take things in stride, it helps.

See, here's the thing. Why is it that folks would never run into a crowded family restaurant or a party at a stranger's house and demand attention from the folks there as friends, but are totally willing to do so on a message board? Community is community, whether it is voices in a room or typewritten words on a screen. There are certain things you have to earn, and certain things that take time.

You seem to expect people who have been here for months and years to warm up to you and like you and talk to you immediately.

It don't work like that around here.

Hell, I've been here for months and many folks don't interact with me. It's the way a community like this works -- people come here to interact with the people they know, and they will take different amounts of time to warm up to new folks. Like any group of people.

I was willing to give you a chance, as I am sure many folks here would (and will). But I see several threads on this board, seemingly minutes after you registered, begging for attention. Now you've incited a mini "flame war," deliberately or not, and I will be wary in the future as far as you are concerned. That's kind of rough, but it's also the way it is.

Anyway, my two cents on this. Take it from a recent entry to the EC madness -- let people take time to warm up to you.

I hope it's not too late. Maybe we can start over.

thank you for your advice i will use it wisely ....... as for the attention thing ... that was simply to get people talking.... I love to interact and watch other people interact ... I'm sorry if I seemed a little into myself..... I dont want people to think that of me ... but I think a few of the things Mr. parcelan said were a little uncalled for and I'm the type of person who takes action when my intellagence is threatened ........ sorry

A word of advice.

Don't go to law school.

You will spend $100,000 to make about $20,000 more a year. Maybe.

Get into business or do something else.

I love the law, but I wish I did not have a six-figure albatrosss around my neck (loans)preventing me from doing things.
