Knowing that, at most, you'll be out on your own in a couple of years, it seems odd your parents are trying so hard to alienate you.

As for religion that's for each to define for him/herself....how else can it be your honest belief? 
You can discuss religion untill your blue in the face,but people will always have different vieuws...i mean,seeing a post about the romans,that's how long religionwars have been going on,probably longer,and i don't see them stop in the near future (just look at former joegoslavia,afghanistan,etc,etc)
