Maybe on YOUR server.
I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piña coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

And how can you play on Saryrn and complain about the auctions in East Commons when there are 129 people in North Freeport doing the exact same thing?

And North Freeport is where they SHOULD be.

Toxx sucks.
Everfrost, I get lost, fast.

Nek is good newbie zone.

Now, I am very sleepy....

Can't stand Nek. Pisses me off.

All time favorite is still Field of Bone. Swarms (SWARMS) of useful things to kill, almost all of which are tied into some useful little quest (pelts for Klok Mugruk anyone?) that don't gang up (or if they do you can still cream them with a newbie iksar), plus the zone is in simple rings of difficulty...newbie area, then an area for folks around 5-8, then the pit for 8-10, then Kurn's Tower. Nice and neat. FoB kicks ass.

And believe it or not...I actually like Butcherblock. It's tricky, but there are people you can run to everywhere and I never saw too many dwarves around hogging my kills (most of them go to GFay on Luclin for some reason or another). Haven't played a lowbie dwarf in BB since they started having those rabid goblins around, though. Bet they ruin it.

Lyinar's sweetie and don't you forget it!*

The one near Halas... Everfrost?

Just play there. Then you'll know.

I think you're a little confused. This thread is about the worst newbie areas, not the top ones.

As for me, I would say that Tox is my least favorite. Feerott doesn't bother me in the slightest, but maybe that's because I know my way around Feerott pretty well.

Warslik's Woods and Swamp of No Hope, LOIO and Field of Bone are pretty good, though the run from the lake to the guards can be a tad nasty

Nek is ok if you're experienced enough and don't get too overconfident, however, you start to run out of things at near lvl 9 that are reasonable(yk's are about only thing left that doesn't disease you or kill faction, and they hit HARD at 9).

Everfrost is a great noob zone, though getting up to 2 can be a pain, but once you're there it's cakewalk to 6. I kept getting lost when wandering out into the frozen hills though, so I immediately went to BlackBurrow.

G-Bay is awful nowadays, with the zone crashing every five minutes I can only lvl up to five or six and then it's off to Butcher to avoid running around looking for some orc to be open, or risking trains in CB.

Misty is great, but I keep getting lost in there, have to find zone line and run back that way

I actually have to object to QH, cause you can get up to five within Qeynos city limits, and from then on, most stuff in QH is cakewalk, though you can get up to about eight on some there, but then usually I find myself getting a tp to EC.

Paineel is great for the first six or so lvls, then you have to be really careful in the Warrens, but it's doable.

I've tried all of them, excepting Toxx, and I can't say I honestly hate any of them. Nek is my favorite newbie zone, with Everfrost being a close second.

Tox is very nasty indeed, especially as a night-blind Erudite. The most painful newbie note to hand in is for Bertox-worshipping Qeynos (I have to think 'SonyEQ backwards' to spell that right where you have to travel through the Catacombs to reach your guild. I think I zoned 5 times trying to get there from the arena.
