Starcraft is also great for burning about 40 minutes of time (8 way FFA between me and 7 comps on the 64x64 Abbitoir Map of the week about half a year ago)

Hey! I used to play MK2 all day long when I was 11, that game owned. I was kind of dissapointed when I dug it out 2 months ago and noticed how crappy the graphics seem now.
No other game had such an in-depth character plot.
(_|_), if i had to choose, i'd have to say quake 3 rocket arena. It's hella fun!
