How could I resist?

Elspeth impressed everyone with:
WoW wants to bite
That pretty much sums it up. If you puff up the game and irrationally overhype only this early, you'll have a major disappointment when it comes out.

Elvish Crack Piper had this to say about Pirotess:
the game will NOT be run on the instability that is battle.net further stregthens my fanboyish attitude at this early stage of the developement.
It shouldn't. They've had 6 years to try to get battle.net up to snuff and they haven't been able to do it. In fact it speaks volumes that they had to specifically distance themselves from their current attempt at online play. Now they're going back to square one with a much more technically daunting endeavor -- you up for waiting another 6 years while they get the kinks worked out of WoW?

Elvish Crack Piper had this to say about Matthew Broderick:
Do you want the game to suck or something Drysart?
No, I'm just not foolish enough to believe at this point that it will be the Second Coming. Blizzard needs to prove their competence, having destoyed their credibility when it comes to running an online service.
For the cynics, liken the situation to Verant announcing "The customer support for Shadows of Luclin is going to be great!" Do you take them at their word when they've consistently done otherwise in the past?
I find great humor in people that put on blinders and espouse total faith to a game that they've only read a few paragraphs about, that they've only seen a handful of screenshots for, that they know nothing about the game mechanics themselves, that won't be out for at least 2 years, and that is being made by people who have historically not been able to keep servers running.

Vorago had this to say about Optimus Prime:
People whine when a company takes longer to release a great game.People whine when a company releases a game quickly to appease the impatient and are promptly bashed for a game with bad bugs and other unfinished things
Damned if they do, damned if they don't
Uh no. Simple. Dont set a date. I get mad when they say D2 Oct for Haloween. Okay... Nov.... no... Dec... no... Feb... fuck it, june.
Thats why.
