Hey, Star Collective, ya cheesehead, I posted the picture, not Lashanna. Now don't go insulting people with your caps lock key.

Anyway... close this. I didn't want to start this, unknowing what the reactions of others would be. We've all been nice people before this day, and I truly believe this hasn't changed, whatever emnities this might start. Yes, it is indeed a sad moment. I didn't think of this would be this could cause, and I regret not thinking about it.

We discussed what happened in 1986, with Libya. That was a different situation, where it was deemed there was enough evidence connecting the events to the Libyan Intelligence organization.

Libyan Intelligence is part of the government. Osama Bin Laden's PLO is not "officially" linked or condoned by the Palestinian government (I never said the people, I said the government).

The extent of the Palestinian Government is that Osama Bin Laden could be here, we may deal with him if he is, but we're sure as hell not letting you come looking for him.

So in a sense, they are unofficially harboring him, until it can be proven otherwise.

Dad's going to kill you. Really. He is.

Tier, do something for me.

On the internet, there are countless videos already circling. Go to www.cnn.com. Look at the video of the plane crashing into the tower.

Then look at it again. It's not a movie, it's not a TV-show. What you just watched was over fifty people being instantly killed in that explosion.

Watch the towers falling, crumbling downwards. What you watched is 1,500 people OR MORE being killed.

Imagine if you were a family member of one of the deceased. Imagine watching those thousands of tons of concrete and steel plunging downwards, knowing that somewhere inside that rubble is a person you care for, knowing that with that tower falling, a loved one falls with it.

Then I want you to come back here, and tell us all just how funny that screenshot was. You watch as countless HUMAN BEINGS, just like yourself and everyone else on this board, INNOCENT people who had nothing to do with any of the politics between the US and the Middle East, who did NOTHING WRONG, had to die.

Then you tell me it's funny.

I posted a link to some humorous materials I found on the internet. These included bad technical support calls, and a few others. Those pictures were at least meant to make people smile, try to take their minds off of this DISASTER, and give them some peace. To give them a small amount of respite while enduring this storm.

The last thing people need is more reminders of this catastrophe. And the fastest way to get us all to hate your fucking ASS is to try to make that catastrophe is somehow funny.

Nekai, I apologize for the flame. I'm sorry, I was wrong, but I am out of my head with rage right now, and it really ticks me off that someone would dare to post something like that and that others would even hint at the attempt to defend it.

Demitri, I was and am appalled by what I found out Tier said, I still am appalled that someone would attempt to defend that post. Don't even bother to respond unless you have a point. I am in no mood to be generous or forgiving tonight except where such is due. So shut the fuck up.

The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting. This is the treason of the artist: a refusal to admit the banality of evil and the terrible boredom of pain. - Ursula K. LeGuin ~ The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas

This topic will be closed now... any furthering of this topic will also be closed. This has been a VERY emotional day, remember that. And remember that a week from now, a month from now, a year from now. This is a very grim peice of history now, and will always be met with very strong emotions.
