Never heard of it.

Not being snarky. I really haven't.

This is either the best or worst MMO ever.

I've played in all of the closed beta tests since CBT2 for the North American release.

It's pretty fun, but the game doesn't really start until you get to 20+ and start fighting bigger mobs. Everything else up to that point is typical mmo crap but in a very, very pretty anime-style MMO.

It's also the only Korean MMO I've played that seems to have zero level grind in it.

Edit: If you're going to try it, play a melee class before you try a ranged character. Ranged classes have to worry about aiming, but for the most part can just kite shit around like they do in other MMOs, and this stays true even as you reach more difficult content.

As melee classes reach more difficult content, they actually have to learn the attack patterns and movements of various monsters and learn when to block or dodge. It's far more active and engaging and really highlights the cool factor of the game's combat system.

If those things make cute little 'mew' sounds then it's a guaranteed purchase.

Sadly, no. On character creation you pick one of five voices for your character, and those 5 voices are the same for all male characters (female characters of course have their own 5 voices to pick from).

Which is okay, that cat is a member of the Popori race, which is made up many different types of small furry creatures (kitty, 2 types of dogs, one that you can give a pipe, beaver, raccoon, etc) so it would be pretty weird if they all made little mew noises.

I like that the pipe is apparently a permanent facial feature.

Yep, and there are no hats or helmets in this game either, so the facial features you pick are permanently visible.

I got a CBT4 key, but only got to ~ level 15 in the weekend. Combat was pretty damn good, everything else seemed somewhat generic MMO.

I wish every MMO had mouselook on a toggle system; not having to hold down RMB 85% of the time is nice.

It's hard to justify a $60 box + monthly subscription when I'm already buying Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2 though.

Quests consists of getting rid of yellow exclamation points.

The combat is pretty good and makes up for the kill ten pigs to collect ten pig butt quests. The first 12 levels felt pretty fast, even though it took several hours. Also you get a mount at level 12.

Got to like level 28 in the two-three days that I played without any poopsocking; I think the max level is 60. Quests pretty much remained the same (kill things, pick stuff up, escort some scrub).

Did a dungeon and fought some big ass monsters out in the world, which made me preorder. It's like Demon Souls in an mmo format. With cats
