Thor was quite good, though.

What about Priest? Missed seeing it last weekend...

You're shocked that it's capable of sucking? I thought the general consensus after the last one was "it's going downhill"...

It went okay.
I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piƱa coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

Deth and I thought Priest was decent. We're both curious to read the graphic novel it's based off of now.

Actually, I hear Thor is pretty good. It was directed by Kenneth Branagh, who presumably knew enough of his shit to direct several faithful Shakespearean adaptations.

Though, he also directed this.

That part is not the part I meant to link.

This one is.

Thor was good. At least I enjoyed it and everyone I went with to see it enjoyed it (have a decent cluster of folks who have been hitting all the super-hero movies leading up to Avengers).

Went and saw Pirates 4 and Fast Five tonight. Double feature for $6. I think I may have been slightly ripped.

I was dragged to Fast Five by some friends while we were having a night out.

I almost feel guilty for enjoying it, though I do quite like fast cars and hot half naked chicks.

Hangover 2 was about equal to the first, so take that as you may.

I enjoyed Thor, even though there were several, "The hell did that come from?" moments.

Thor has some problems; Loki's motivations are confusing and the love story is amusing but a little awkward (it comes off like Portman's character just wants to boff Thor, which is actually kind of hilarious). And, yes, it follows a formulaic Anti-Hero-Must-Gain-Morality plot. Despite that, it's a pretty damn good movie overall. It could have been better, but it's good.

I'm looking forward to Captain America =3 Hugo Weaving as Red Skull? Yes, please.

Hangover 2 was hilarious, although they could have backed off some on the number of dick jokes.

But then it wouldn't have appealed to the douchebag movie going majority.

Hangover 1 didn't have as many dick jokes and it was well received

What I liked about 1 was that it really was a night of "What dumb shit would you do when you're fucked up" as opposed to being deliberately obscene just because they were in Thailand. 2 was still hilarious. I just appreciated 1 more.
