What are you getting your peoples?

I'm very seriously considering giving my friends framed pictures of myself. It's a gift that's insulting, but not quite, and it could be a joke, but if it's not, I'll get offended.

No one gets anything. I don't have the cash for it, and I'm not racking up a couple grand in credit card debt.

This, but I'm still going to get my girlfriend something small even though we said we wouldn't exchange anything since our 18 month is on the 21st.

Money's tight but my wife and I are going to bring the family a prime rib for Christmas dinner. Financial strain sucks bad enough for Christmas but our second anniversary is coming up January 3rd and we can't really afford to do anything to celebrate...

Buying a house for me and my wife. Random gifts from travel to friends and family. I'll be doing loan Docs tomorrow, and closing on the 28th. Moving on the 3rd.

Wow...where at? Cost us nearly twice that for a similar sized property (I think the land is about the same, house is 2100 square feet) in El Sobrante (between the San Pablo Reservoir and Richmond, Ca).

Damn, great deal and great area, if somewhat inconvenient in terms of city conveniences.

We are buying a couch, because the dog-beast won't fit on the love seat anymore. Since couches these days cost slightly more than aircraft carriers, that will be the extent of our present-buying.
