Gamestop has finally given this a date of September 7th. I can't wait for it. Anyone else excited?

Oh by the way, anyone who hasn't, make sure you visit Google today.

I don't know, man.

I loved Kingdom Hearts. I mean, it was outstanding.

KH2 was so...ugh, though.

What is new about Birth by Sleep?

Not sure what's new about it, but it's a PSP game that looks to be of quality similar to KH1 and KH2.

What for a weird title.

Will the game deal with pregnancy and pregancy related issues?

Really? I loved 1, but I thought 2 was even better.

I like that this one is a prequel. It's apparently going to answer quite a few of the ongoing questions with the series. And there are three character campaigns to play, so you'll get to see the worlds and events from three different perspectives.

I can hardly believe people above 12 years old would be interested in this series, to be honest.

No, man.

No.

KH1 was driven by a purpose. It was a pure, simplistic purpose, but it was there. It kept the action going and kept the motive clear. Why do we need to kill the Heartless? Because they're connected to us finding our friends again.

KH2 had nothing. There was a long delay in stuff happening and then you went around the worlds solving peoples' problems for no apparent reason.

Basically, KH2's overall lack of quality can be summarized in seven words.

"SORA, DONALD, GOOFY, LET'S DO FINNY FUN!"

Did you know that Donald is named Kalle in Sweden? And that Kalle is affectionate for Karl? In Google translation it translates "Kalle" as "Donald".

KH2's combat was way better but it definitely lacked coherent, overall purpose

kind of like Mass Effect 2 except ME2 was goddamn spectacular and KH2 was only okay

Yeah, I've watched Deth play ME 2 and I'm looking forward to starting up the series myself. Friends of mine have commented that they sometimes have to pause and really think about what response they want to give.

I think it's great. I mean, old school RPGs like CT, Tales of Destiny and Star Ocean gave you different endings or party members based on responses, but the Mass Effect series seems to have taken it to just a completely different level. I find that very appealing.

There's no need to pause and think about your response in Mass Effect, you just choose the top right one to make the correct choice

I've been in here watching him when he plays it. It's been pretty intriguing so far. I'm enjoying the story and I've really liked how it seems customizable to how you like to play, ie he can go in guns blazing and fists swinging, or he can snipe from afar and sneak in like death.

I might have to play it myself, if I ever get my soul back from Lego Harry Potter. I just picked it up today and I've already finished Year One.

I wouldn't call the gameplay awful. It's pretty much standard in every way.

This comment, and comparing it to PS:T, convinces me to look into this game.

Edit: The vibe I'm getting is that the story is phenomenal, and the gameplay is as bad as the story is good. Comments?

The story and characters are good, great even, the "shooter" parts are average. Think Mass Effect 1. If you don't go into the game expecting Gears of War or Splinter Cell, you're golden.
