I'm trying to decide whether I want to buy this movie on blu-Ray or regular DVD. How are the special effects?

If you have a HDTV (like, 1080p) and a blu ray player already, might as well go for the blu-ray version. Though there is the chance you'll pick out some of the minute things that will give away the fact that it's CGI.

That said, the graphics are well done, and the camera is often shaky and blurred, so it hides the nuances well. Or at least it did in the theatre.

Yeah, I already have a blu Ray player and a 1080p tv, so I guess I'll get the blu-Ray version.

Movie is awesome, effects are pretty well done. I suggest a cold beer, some cat food, and maybe some cocktail sauce for the viewing.

I think the Blu Ray edition comes with the God of War 3 demo too.
