Radeon 4890 if you want to spend $200 Radeon 4870 if you want to spend $70 less for a small loss in performance. NVidia isn't competitive at that price point.

Out of curiousity, is ATI's driver support good now? When I was last in the market, ATI's drivers were a shit sandwich.

we got this
Galaxy - NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT 1GB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card

installed easy enough, had decent reviews, has more onboard RAM than the old one that blew out and was on sale for under 100$.

we'll see how it goes.

Could have bought a Radeon 4850 for a much better card. What part of Nvidia can't compete at that price point (sub $200) didn't you catch? Or did you just not care about the advice that the internet nerds gave you?

actually, we prefer Nvidia, which would be why i said, Nvidia preferred.

we have never liked ATI's.

but i apologize if our not taking your advice wounded you and for some reason caused you to lash out via the tubes.

You gave up 50% performance for $20 and brand loyalty. Glad to be of service.

Brand loyalty is never worth it in the price/performance game, but it sounds like an ATI employee spit on your mother or something so whatever
