Here's the story. I'm at work and my BF calls me saying that he's found a great deal on a laptop at his work (Staples). So, he comes home with a PINK!!!! Dell Inspiron 1420, 14" cheaper model. It was clearanced cause return to vendor was stuck on it, but it was never sent away. Apparently, the WiFi was broken. Okay, fine. We get it cause it only cost us $200(Can) after tax and is of course covered by Dell warranty.Well, we bring it home, call up Dell, assuming that it really was broken. Turns out the WiFi is fine, just needed the latest wireless drivers installed.
$200 for a perfectly good laptop.

That is how I got my 1420, but mine was our floor model. I knew it was fine, and have been happy for the past 6 months with it. It was 279 when I snagged mine.
I have the default blue though.
The only issue I had was the wifi card actually burning out (at the store level) so I just called out Dell replacement center and got a new wifi card, new keyboard and an extra power adapter on Staple's dime. Which, was awfully nice of them!

I need to call Dell again actually to get my warranty extended, since the chick who owned it and returned it to the store (cause of the WiFi) is a tool and registered the damn thing.. So now it says that my warranty expires in May.. And well, I'm not about to let that happen....Since I did buy it from Staples without knowing all of this.

They call it 'flamingo' pink. You have to really like pink to like it. It's a hot pink.
