Mellow. Absurdly so.

His temperament drifts between "amiable" to "coma patient." He's active, no doubt, and he loves running around outside and sniffing all sorts of things, but when he gets tired, he just sort of stops wherever he is and goes to sleep.

Cool dogness! Dogs are good, though I prefer them a bit taller. We're looking at perhaps a Great Dane towards the end of summer-ish. Depends on how the move goes and if we find any good breeders in merry old England. Or dour old Scotland. Or damned-if-I-can-pronounce-it Wales. Wherever.

Wanted to get one in Germany, since it's the national pooch, but the import rules into the UK are prohibitive for a puppy.

That would be fun, but I name all our dogs after Shakespearean characters. Given where we'll be, a couple suggest themselves, but I'll have to wait and ponder once we meet the wee pup.

My grandmother had a Daschund back in the day--was a fun dog to be around.
