Power in my house is still out. 90% of my city is out of power. We had 80 MPH gusts of wind here in freaking CINCINNATI. That qualifies as a category 1 hurricane.

WE HAD A HURRICANE.

IN CINCINNATI.

Actually, the winds have to be sustained to be a hurricane. Trust me, 80 mph gusts are nothing compared to 80 MPH sustained winds.

Even then, I'm amazed Cinci got whacked that hard by the remnants of Ike.

Yea, I was talking to a girl in Bloomington, Indiana (like 100-120 miles away from Cincinatti I guess) and she didn't describe such horrors haha. However her power went out due to being in a shit town.

Power just came back on at my house. My work is still shut down and on backup natural gas generators just to keep orders going.

I got drunk on tequila and sang on the balcony of my friends' apartment with them til about 2 in the morning, then shit got crazy and started breaking. One window int he apartment I was in, not much damage to the alvin area.

Overall I think I heard the deathcount was 48 so not too terribly bad.

We got a good heavy rain for a day, then the weather has been cool during the sday and cold at night.

But this is in Fort Worth, so...
