That would be swell, but no, not yet. That's just an artist's depiction of the theoretical decay pattern of the higgs boson.

It probably won't be detected until sometime in the next few years. System is getting shutdown over this winter, except for cooling of the magnets, they'll be testing it to about 400GW range before this November, and after this march they'll crank it up to the 5TW or so range, where the Higgs is predicted to to show up. that and it'll take some time to actually do the data reduction.

1) A larger collider is already in the planning stages at CERN

2) Finding the higgs boson is not the entire purpose of the LHC. The LHC is a laboratory and can be used for many things.

But it is going to require revisions if they don't find the Higgs where they expect it to.
