Not like overly happy "Don't Worry, Be Happy" bullshit, but music that isn't about breakups or dying family members or some shit.

List songs (and bands, preferably) and you can either post them (that'd be super) or I can go "buy" them.

Thanks.

At the risk of being trite--The Boy Least Likely To.

Less trite--Malcolm Middleton. Just, don't pay too much attention to the lyrics. The Field Mice are pretty chill, too, I guess. Harvey Danger does pretty well, especially "Old Hat" and "Happiness Writes White."

I suppose Figurine is kinda upbeat sounding. It's dntel, that guy from The Postal Service who isn't Ben Gibbard, and some other people. more upbeat than dntel's own work.

Jens Lekman and/or Sondre Lerche. Shiny Toy Guns if you're just insulin-happy.

Smoosh just because it's hard to not be happy thinking about jailbait indie-rock girls. Mmm pre-teens.

St. Vincent is kooky chick-singer fun. Suburban Kids with Biblical Names along with Architecture in Helsinki round out the category of "goofier-than-their-names instrumentation."

or Tokyo Police Club--it's just happy, dammit.

Happy enough?

For some reason the URL tag told me this link is unacceptable. Link works though.

A bit dated, but if you like dance-type stuff, try Urban Cookie Collective.
