The extra weapons were fun to get, and did add a little bit of replayability in multiplayer.
My semi-random Soul Calibur IV observations:
1. Shura is a gosh darned beast.
1b. Except vs. The Apprentice. He kicked my ass for a good hour in Arcade mode before I beat him. Not even Algol gave me any trouble.
2. It would appear my LCD TV is capable of 1080p. It makes SC2 for my 'Cube and Xbox look like Pong on the 2600.
3. I really wish when you unlocked new equipment/weapons it let you know exactly what you've unlocked.
4. The credits were longer than actually fighting through Story mode.
5. I played on Xbox LIVE last night, and had to turn my mic volume up all the way to be able to hear the other people, and of course, I became "the guy with his mic turned up all the way." I had this problem with LIVE with my original Xbox, as well.
6. How come some people's voice were coming through the TV instead of the headset?
7. Is it just me, or is the whole character creation/stats on equipment/talent system designed so female characters made with it are in revealing clothing? Not that that's a bad thing...
8. When did Yoda learn to speak Japanese?
9. If you make a custom character with a Cassandra base; people on Live will ask you to beat on them just so you can do her Critical finish on them.
10. People on Live are weird. The sky is blue and grass is green, too.

Uh, the dial on the headset just adjusts the speaker volume on the headset, not the microphone output.

No, you can't do character creation with the jedi styles, or the five bonus characters. Maybe Algol too, haven't really paid attention, but don't recall seeing him in the selection.
Atleast for Yoda, it makes sense, since the character creation uses generic heights(Females with Astaroth attacks have awkward gaps between them and their opponent during throws) and his attacks are entirely based off the fact he's 2'2".
Maybe some day, they'll patch them in if enough people are vocal about it.
this gameRumor has it that future downloadable content will include Darth Vader for the 360 and Yoda for the PS3, so that's neat.
It might be cool if another SW character or two was included as well, along with maybe possibly just a few new items to customize them with... oh, and if the SW styles became available for custom characters.
Wait, actually, fuck that. I want Namco and Lucsarts to get married and have a Star Wars fighting game baby. They could even call it Star Calibur if they want, I don't care.
