I'm sure your concept of good music is only available on vinyl in a snooty indie record store so it's kinda hard to get it on mp3

My friend has some sort of player with a USB hookup so that he can rip vinyl to MP3. It's pretty sweet.

How many vinyl-only releases are there nowadays anyway? I'd imagine you'd be better off just making FLAC rips of a CD if you're big on digital quality.
