What can cause memtest to return memory errors on ram I know is good?

Your chipset might cause errors if any of the parts in the memory chain are defective.

If you swap the memory to another computer and run memtest fine, then its possible its the motherboard (the bus, specifically).

edit: basically what naimah said, but you should troubleshoot it by trying it in another computer.

That's what I was afraid of, but I wasn't sure if there are any other causes. I know the other memory is good so I guess it's upgrade time. Thanks for the help.
