I have actually been concerned about it and plan to start DDRing soon. I just bought a thing for my XBox so I can keep it downstairs where I can actually play, so I don't have to keep unhooking my PS2 every time I wanna play.

Even if it's a retarded game by most people's standards, I haven't heard of as many people getting fit without actually having to have a routine aside from playing a video game for an hour a day. It really is a fantastic workout.

You could do so much better sprinting for like 10 minutes a day than DDRing for hours. Guaranteed.

Sprinting for 10 min takes effort to convince yourself to do. Convincing yourself to play DDR for an hour or two, is much easier when you enjoy that kind of thing.

I would love to see you get as many miles out of sprinting for 10 minutes instead of playing DDR at the level I play at for an hour.

There is 0 contest in the amount of distance we would cover. (provided i wasn't stationary)

The health benefits, in terms of what muscles you're working, I couldn't tell you. But I know damn sure that after a month of play, (not even on the hardest difficulties, this was when I started) I dropped 30 pounds like nothing.

And yeah, like Naimah said. Sprinting is a workout. DDR is a game.

I drink a lot of water and have been cutting the shit out of my diet little by little. It's really hard to change your entire diet when your lifestyle for the last 5 years has pretty much been nothing but fast food.

Also, I hate going for walks. Not because it's like "ugh exercise". I just hate walking aimlessly. Dunno why. Always have.

Haha, I never even eat when I'm at my house, that's the problem.

Whenever I was at work, I had an hour lunch so I'd be like "goddamn what am I gonna do with my time? go eat i guess". Wasn't much of a change from Burger King.

Now I'm currently just working at Gamestop, and we don't have a lunch so it's easier to avoid the food. I gotta start getting Diet alternatives to the pop we get there though, because I've been drinking a lot.

If you can't stand nutrasweet taste, yet still need to switch to diet pop, try out coke zero.

I can't stand the nutrasweet taste of most drinks, but am diabetic, so have to stay away from the real pops. Coke zero has been the first one I've found that has 0 sugar but still tastes like normal pop.

Will look into, thanks. I don't really mind the diet taste, I just don't think of it as the same beverage.

Diet Dew is actually a pretty good drink, but I'll be damned if it's Dew.

I would also win in a Ryuujin slapping contest, but you don't see me braggin.

I'm perfectly healthy and not obese, but I would like to drop a couple pounds here and there.

And Vallo, shut the hell up. Everything food produced ever is "bad for you" nowadays. Anything is fine in moderation, and diet isn't even the biggest concern when losing weight. You just have to get off your lard ass and move around. And drink water, which I do. A LOT.

But diet is the greatest concern when losing weight, because it is less limited than exercise
