It's a limited edition finish by Tom Morgan, who's apparently some guitar guru or something. It matches my George Jetson orange couch and penchant for bright, shiny things, so it's all good.

I'm hoping to do lessons at some point, so I have a real instructor to bug instead of just watching DVDs and reading books. But it shall be mine, oh yes, it shall be mine.

Music lessons are SO expensive.. I wish I had gotten into it when I was younger. Maybe when I'm out on my own, I'll look into it.

And orange is such an awesome colour. I want an orange couch now.

1900 Euros. So I basically ate 35% to have it now rather than risking the time and Post Office.

For the price you paid, you got a music piece that you will cherish for a lifetime. Any Gibson Les Paul, no matter the series or edition, will bring you a lot of joy.

For guitar lessons... What route are you going?

I wish I could have had the cash or if my parents had the money when I was young, I would have went with classical training on guitar.

But for 16 years now, I've just played by ear and taught myself to read and write formal music.

What it all boils down to?

I would kill for your guitar.

I've ordered the 10 DVD "Learn and Master Guitar with Steve Krenz" series, since everywhere I read it got the best reviews. If I have problems with that, I might do some basic in-person lessons once I get to Germany. Have to play that by ear, though, since I'll have a real job and be working a bazillion hours a week under the watchful and fatherly but baleful eye of my commanding general.

I'll be the backup.

And we'll see how long the current president stays in power after a little American know-how.

It's a Shawn Colvin video: "Sunny Came Home" IIRC.

And the rabbit is a Nabaztag. They're sort of endearing.
