I found this on another forum and, granted I like anime, I kinda disagree with what it says. I think those character recreations look fairly good, with the possible exception of Charlie. But that's just due to the expression. I'm probably in the minority on this though

If he had kept the characters the same age as in the original strip, I'd be inclined to agree with you. However, since he aged them into adults, or at least young adults, there's enough sense of separation that it doesn't really feel like he's violating holy writ.

Plus, hell, the art looks pretty damn spiffy.

Except it's not Bleedman's art, it's GNAW as the signatures say. He usually does furry pics and has, among others, a popular character named Hazel who is a Lioness Librarian.

Charles Schulz had a provision in his contract that no one would be able to draw Peanuts after his death.

The likelihood of there being a Peanuts anime is low. (I still want to know how they came out with new Peanuts specials AFTER his death...)
