So, the burning question on everyone's mind that we must answer:

Who even gave fuck about this show? It had to be the most lackluster card in a good number of years, with the possible exception of the ladder match (I've always had a fondness for insane spotfests). I mean, The Face Whom Everyone Hates vs. Shawn "I Should've Retired For Good in 1998" Michaels as the main event? I guess that when you have no competition, you can get really sloppy and still make serious bank.

But enough of my blathering. For those that actually saw it, was the show any good?

This was quite possibly the shittiest one I've seen in years. Even the womens championship was awful and incredibly boring (even though Ashley was hotter and should have won). The battle of the billionares was only good to watch Trump go apeshit on McMahon because after that came the shitty Championship match. Wow, what a boring match. The only good thing about that was Cena and his entrance.
Although the entire night sucked badly, with the exception of the ladder match which was great to watch Kennedy win, the "All Grown Up" segments they had during the commercial breaks were funny.

edit: Also, just before Cena and Micheals fought, some guy made it into the ring but the cameras panned away just as he jumped in.

It was the best WM since 20, but that's like saying Karnaj is the best cock I've sucked since Sean's. Everything between the two has been lackluster.

Shawn Michaels should have retired in 1998 because he's one bad bump away from being paralyzed. But he's still the SHOWSTOPPAH and really turned it up after Triple H got injured and he was left all alone. He's honestly pretty "meh" on Raw and shit, but on PPVs he's pure money, especially Wrestlemania. He pulled a good match out of Cena. They really need to let Cena do more things in the ring. You look back at him four years ago and compare him today. He is going major steps backwards.

The Undertaker/Batista match was way better than it had any right to be. I guess they felt they had to prove something after being taken out of the main event slot, which I thought was retarded. Cena was bound to be booed out of the building. Why end the show with your top face standing in the ring getting the shit booed out of him, when you know 99.999999% of the crowd was going to go nuts for one last Undertaker title win. It would have been perfect to end the show with 'Taker doing his kneeling with the belt in purple light thing that he did at WM13 when he last won the belt at a Wrestlemania, ten years ago.

Benoit/MVP was fucking awesome. I had no idea MVP could wrestle like that. I don't mean "put on an entertaining match". I mean go hold for hold with Benoit. I haven't seen mat wrestling like that since the Guerrero/Malenko two out of three falls last ECW match.

The ECW Originals vs the New Breed was pretty meh. Though Dreamer visually tearing up after what he knows has to be his first and only WM win made the match worth it.

Khali vs Kane was exactly what you figured it would be. Kane deserves a god damn medal for all the shit they've made him do over the last ten years.

The Money in the Bank(...bank) match was what you'd expect. The Edge bump was a lot less sick when they did a close up of him on the ladder and you could tell that one was clearly made of wood.(For those of you that didn't see it, Matt Hardy set a ladder up on it's side between the barricade and the ring and lied Edge across it, and Jeff Hardy got on one of those supersized 20 foot ladders in the ring and did a leg drop onto Edge from it and broke the ladder Edge was on in half. Which looked like it killed Edge until the aformention close up with splintered wood everywhere) Little Bastard running out from under the ring when everyone was knocked out and trying to get the briefcase for Finlay, only to find himself too short to reach it even on the top of the ladder was awesome. He got a Kenton Bomb off the ladder from Kennedy for his trouble. Though the best part was Kennedy's post match promo. "I am Miiiiister Money in the Baaaaank..." <walks off> <comes back> ".....bank." Also, it wasn't a spot fest at all, like you'd expect. Though Randy Orton standing in the middle of the ring and literally RKOing everyone that got anywhere near him for a good two minutes was awesome. They even had the camera above the ladder look down, and after one RKO he was doing his pose while lying on his back.(Edit: HAha, I totally forget Booker T going under the ring to get a ladder, and pulling out a step ladder. He said, "Tell me I didn't just..." and got beat down from behind while staring at it. Someone, I think it was Edge, later on just threw that ladder as hard as they could into CM Punk's face from about ten feet away and looked like it broke CM Punk's face)

I took a piss during the Lumberjill(hurr) Match.

The Battle of the Billionaires match was pretty good for what it was, with lots of expected outside interference. They missed a golden opportunity to have someone(Rock, Eric Bischoff, hell even Foley though he's around so much he may as well be an active wrestler again) come out at the end when Vince thought he had snuck away from getting shaved bald and was walking backwards up the ramp acting all smart. It would have been one of those WRESTLEMANIA MOMENTS they're always looking to create if someone unexpected had came out behind Vince and pushed him back into the ring instead of Lashley just running to get him. Also fyi Donald Trump takes a worse stunner than Linda McMahon, but he's a god damn trooper for taking it at all.

Those are the only matches I remember. Anything else clearly was not worth noting.

Also, don't listen to Lechium. Cena's entrance was the gayest thing ever and the worst attempt to get him over. Hurr let's have him drive a FORD car into the building at FORD field in the MOTOR city.

Seriously, everytime I see Cena, I think that he'd be so much better as a heel. I mean, he's already getting booed out of the ring in New York or anywhere in New England, and I suspect they're using canned heat elsewhere to try to push him as a face. I have to wonder if they're falling into the same trap that WCW did: you can't push someone as a face on TV if the crowd hates him. I mean, Cena is good on the mic, and he can get heat very easily, so why not just go with the flow and make him your top heel?

And holy shit, Trump took a stunner? I'm sure it looked awful but yeah, I can imagine that's a scary bump to take when you're an old man.

Oh! I totally forgot about the greatest moment in the history of moments. Cryme Tyme was dancing with Eugene, three hot dancers, and Mae and Moolah backstage when suddenly the music stopped and out came no other than the Doctah of STYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYLE Slick to get the party started. Then Sarge, Dusty, and IRS filed in and started dancing and it started to get gay again until the music stopped suddenly again and Ricky the fucking Dragon god damn Steamboat jumped onto screen, did one of his classic poses, and started dancing.

Because he always wins. There's no point in watching a PPV that he's headlining because you know he's gonna win. He's been champion for 20 of the last 24 months(with Edge and RVD being the only other people to hold the belt in two years) and it's just time for him to lose the belt. He can stay in the "main event" and fued with the non-title main eventers and upper midcarders, but it just gets so old and boring when he's shoved down the viewers throats and never loses. Also, he puts on the worst STF(u lol) in the history of wrestling and should get Benoit to teach him some submission moves before he tries to use them.

I'm hoping that their booker will see the shit reaction he's been getting and turn him into a mean-ass heel. The only problem with that is you'd need to bring find a new top "face", and on the Raw roster, I can't think of one ATM.

You know, I actually like TNA's product more nowadays. Or rather, when I catch the odd 20 minutes of RAW, I'm less impressed with it than I am with TNA. Plus, TNA has motherfucking Sting, and I'm a lifelong mark for Sting.

Well, except for HHH being injured. Was it another quad?

The crowd wasn't mic'd very well and the building was so big that it sounded dead for everything in the entire show. Even though from talking to people that went everyone was going nuts the entire time.

I was talking about RAW. Michaels is hinting at a heel turn that will probably fail without an overwhelming amount of canned heat.

Yeah, but it's hard to turn heel when you're feuding with a guy half the audience hates.

Oversellous indeed.

One of my favorite no-sell moments has to be when Umaga beat the shit out of Steve-O and Chris Pontius because they were laughing in the ring and not selling his stuff.

This is why you sell moves: so that the guy doesn't have to make you sell them.

Michaels did it because he was supposed to win the Summerslam match, then Hogan was supposed to win a rematch at the Royal Rumble, and then Michaels was supposed to win a rubber match at Wrestlemania. But at the last second Hogan was all, "Well you know, brother, I don't think the Hulkamaniacs want to see Hulk Hogan come back and lose, brother. So maybe I should win the first match, Brother, and if we decide to do a second match Michaels can win that one. But not at the Royal Rumble, brother, that's big. How about New Years Revolution?"

So Michaels just said fuck it and made a fool out of Hogan during the match by comically overselling everything.
