Topic: Collector's edition where can I get one?

World of Warcraft Burning Crusade It’s coming a very long time ago I preordered and paid in full for my copy, then when I logged on they mentioned a CE edition TBA. Great I waited a few weeks for them to say more about it and finally I asked at the local store only to find out that it had been available 10/04 and sold out in hours.

I'm not too happy because not only have I had my preorder in likely on the first few days of availability for the regular edition it’s been paid in full all this time. Personally a phone call asking if I’d like to upgrade or a priority would have been nice. Since you people are masters of the internet and I can’t seem to find one on my own could you please assist me in locating a copy from a legitimate source?

Thanks

BTW Tried BB, EB, GS and Amazon already.

The big stores should get some CEs too. Go to one or two of them, the day the game will be released.

Why should you have gotten a priority since you paid in full for the regular edition?

That’s plan B, you see I think that many people are buying multiple copies to store and sell on eBay at a later date. The original CE edition sells for $300.00~500.00 now. Would much rather preorder and KNOW I have my personal copy. Of course if I can't I'll run around town looking.

Won't be the end of my world if I miss out on WoW BC CE, but I'd like to have a copy if at all possible.

Thanks

Because I did so when the expansion was orginaly annouced, In fact I was the first person to preorder at my local store. Did they have to? No. Would have it been nice yes.

I know for a fact that when EBgames started taking pre-orders for TBC, that there were two versions, regular and collector's, right off the bat.

It's your fault for not specifying. QQ more.

I went to gamestop today and they told me that they havn't started taking orders for the CE yet.

Last I checked, they stoppped taking orders for the CE as they're sold out.

Or just wait until they release more and they sit on the shelves collecting dust just like the collectors editions for the original game did.

Just like every collectors edition does.

Why do you want the Collector's Edition anyway? I never see anybody with the old pets you got from the first CE. And the pet is about all you get, except for a pack of the WoW CCG card game, which you can just buy seperately.

Two starters actually. Not just one pack. Each starter is $14.99, so between that, your extra 30 bucks is covered.

Plus, some people just like collectibles. If you're potentially interested in the card game, then the CE gives you a free in game pet pretty much.

They to the best of my knowledge never released more of WoW CE. This is why some people pay $500.00 for a copy. Btw I see the CE pets all the time. I want it because it has the cards a map and a soundtrack as well as other making of goodies.

Back in the early days a normal release would have had all that stuff now it’s a premium to get them. One I'm only too happy to pay.

Nina..Well your a smart cookie I think it’s an excellent short term investment as low supply and high demand = sellers market.

It also comes with an art book, the soundtrack, and a making-of DVD.

The art book justifies the extra cost by itself; everything else is just icing.

Original WoW release collectors editions rotted in my local EB and Gamestop months and months after release. I can only assume they were picked up after being thrown into the bargain bin.

Unless they massively overproduced, the 6 million strong zerg rushers should clear it pretty quick this time though.

That "6 million zerg rush" is why I preordered my BC:CE on October 4th, even if it's not going to be out for almost 100 years.

(It shows a ship date of 1/23/06 on my order....)

You know, I really ought to reserve me and my sweetie copies...I hadn't really thought about it before this thread, but it's gonna be hell to get ahold of it without one, isn't it?
