Topic: What are you guys doing today?

I'm bored and trying to write what should be a simple essay (Wow, a whole 750 words..) Too bad this: "Heidi Goennel is the author and illustrator of 18 books for children.
Her work has appeared on 16 covers for The New Yorker Magazine as well as on cards for The Museum of Modern Art and numerous magazines and catalogs throughout the world.
She is currently working on new children's books, large paintings of silly foods and developing a television show for pre-schoolers"

is all I can find on the person I was told to do a biography/examination of her New Yorker cover.

So far I'm at 375 words of BS... Most of it citations from Amazon.com editorial reviews.

What are you guys doing today? Hopefully something more interesting.

Edit: WOOHOO! I just found a really small New York Times article that has a small little blurb about her personal life.

Already found that one, but thanks.

It was from that article that I found the one about her marriage.

She's still alive and well, which is why there's no information on her!

I could contact her, but this is due tomorrow. yay procrastination.. Plus I didn't think it would be this hard to find information about a fairly popular illustrator.

One does not get this demo without being awesome.

One has to be an EB or Gamestop to get it.

The songs are the 4 from the OPM demo along with:

  • War Pigs
  • Psychobilly Freakout
  • Who Was in my Room Last Night
  • Madhouse
  • John the Fisherman
  • Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart

btw Psychobilly Freakout is FUCKING HARD ARGH

Currently, I'm not doing my Discrete Math homework. I'm mostly done, and it's due tomorrow by 4pm. About half of the questions I haven't done yet are fucking horrible questions, though, and I'm considering just handing in the ones I know how to do. Especially since I have a chess program thing to write in C by 11:59pm Friday, and I haven't started yet.

hmm, sleept till 9:30a, then rushed to school and made it to E&M class before the teacher arrived, so I made it, then we did a HW problem in class, had a nice 2 hour break where I did nothing but update a web page for the Astro. Society on campus, then went to Optics and learned about optical aberrations caused by spherical lenses, went to IHOP for dinner and did HW there, and then came home and relaxed.

Discrete math is evil shit.

For yesterday, I woke up, installed Rome Total War, and figured out that when invading cities slowly advancing with spearmen works wonders. Especially if you have archers or some other ranged unit hangin out behind them. I later found out this doesn't work so well on open fields because the AI is good at flanking

Then I went to work. Work was boring. And it rained. But that's work for you.

I returned home to happily watch the Unit only to be greeted with a season one rerun

Yesterday 10/24: Woke up at the wife's apartment, went to work was a little late. Worked from 9 -5 left and went to Cambridge to look for leathery things for my Halloween costume, ended up just getting a collar and leash. Then went and visited the wife at work, he works for Manhunt. (Internet "dating" website)[small] Had dinner with him, then went home, and saw my wings had arrived, dressed up in what i had for my costume, a collar and wings, and found some undies like the ones i want to get. Then pranced around my apartment, and showed my roommates, who laughed and giggled and where excited for me. Then went back to the South End and slept with the wife.

Today 10/25: See yesterday for morning brief. At work currently, oh the joy of being a data entry bitch! Going to most likely goto H&M, [small]HoMo if you prefer and look for underwear, then might have dinner with the guy I was living with for the month of September/August, and then steal some of his leather for my costume. Oh yeh need to get a coat too, I hate this season, its too fucking cold!
