So I have learned a few things in my last week working up in da cluuuub. Including the one thing that can bring harmony to our world and end all racial violence and bigotry. The DJ plays your typical club music. Fifty Cent, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Daddy Yankee, Pitbull, Lil Jon, whatever. A really hot song gets a few, "Woooooo!"'s, but nothing major.

That is until the DJ plays... Jon Bon Jovi. The last two nights this has occured. On Friday, out of nowhere he played You Give Love a Bad Name and stopped the track during the chorus and there were 2,000 people... white, black, hispanic, asian, whatever... singing Jon Bon Jovi together. He did the same thing last night with Livin' on a Prayer.

The greatest moment of my life was watching this black guy with one of those chains that hang to your belt with a dollar bill sign on the end, the entire thing studded with diamonds, with a straight up diamond filled "grill" like he was some Paul Wall wannabe, belting out the chorus to Livin' on a Prayer.

Hey now, this is cool Bon Jovi we're talking about. Slipper When Wet style Bon Jovi. Not they play my new shit on the country station because I'm a bleeding fucking vagina Bon Jovi.

I've actually heard of that happening up here too. Weird, isn't it.

Gilley's is an old man country bar. It's... not quite the same thing.

Everyone loves old school Bon Jovi, just noone wants to admit it.

I think I heard more Jovi in Germany than I did in America... it's really weird.

FFS, how big is this club?

Or is this a comical exaggeration that I didn't pick up?

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

Bon Jovi is fucking huge in Germany. They're bigger than Hasselhoff.

Same thing happened at a bar on the Jersey Shore when the Amish Outlaws sang Livin' on a Prayer. 500 people of all ethnicities sang along. Like faggots. Myself included.
