Need some help coming up with a 4th idea for an illustration project. I need to make a set of collector cards to represent music genres.... I've decided to choose music tools which are known to be associated with a particular genre, NO instruments.

So far I have...

Those old music player things with the big cone (yes, I forget the name.. ) for Classical.

And old fashioned 50's style microphone for Blues

And a turntable for Hip Hop.

I can't think of a 4th that can be placed with a genre.. Any suggestions would be great, or any changes to the above as well.

A big amplifier for rock.

Cowboy hat is a good idea, too.

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

Cowboy hat and/or boots works for country. A dark colored dress with a corset top and a lot of lace (gothic lolita-ish?) would work for, well, gothic/emo/Idunnowtfthatshit is music.

The amp for rock is a good one, thanks Sentow!
And Skaw, I'm too lazy to draw a synthesizer! I already looked into that! lol I looked into mixers as well. They would take too long in illustrator.

I'm staying away from fashion. It's not a tool used for music, but thanks for the help.

I would think a synthesizer would work better for New Age

A Roland TR-808 Would work well for Rap, or Dance/Techno.

Nobody's suggestion has been anywhere near as good as mine.

It's totally necessary for that particular genere of music to exist, it's not an instrument, and it's uniquely identifying of that particular genere.

A corpse in a large wooden operating theatre for Victorian.

EDIT: In retrospect, it has nothing to do with music really. I just like 'Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp'

Listen you, it's a well known and documented fact that cowboy hats are required to make country music!

How about some bubble-wrap to represent pop music?

These days you'd need a Mouseketeer costume with an attached wonderbra to represent pop music.
