Topic: Movie Trailer Time

I gathered some trailers to throw down here, check them out.

Renaissance
Looks like a cross between Sin City, the Matrix, and A Scanner Darkly. Could be an interesting watch, but also could be a gigantic piece of trendy trash.

Children of Men
Besides Clive Owen, this movie's story seems to be it's biggest drawing point. Set in a not-too-distant future (almost reminiscent of HL2), it seems that all women on earth have suddenly become infertile for completely unknown reasons. The world is sliding quickly into chaos. Early reviews will probably be what decides if I see this movie or not.

Casino Royale
The new Bond movie is touted as a beginning, of sorts, to the entire Bond universe. Set before Bond has a license to kill and is a newly promoted "00" agent, the entire movie seems to lead up to one high-stakes game of Poker. I'll see it, but only with a friend, and only for free.

TMNT
More elaborate and story-revealing trailers will determine if I bother seeing this. Granted, it's TMNT, but I am no fan of them. The animation style does seem intriguing - but ultimately nothing special.

The Prestige
Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Michael Cane, directed by Christopher Nolan. That's almost enough to sell the movie to me, right there. However, the plot and setting easily seals the deal. A rivalry between two Magicians in, what I assume is, the 1800s, quickly turns deadly. Batman vs. Wolverine. Yes.

The Illusionist
Another 1800s setting, another story about Magicians. However, this flick is set to a more political and romantic plot. Early reviews will be the deciding factor.

Add your own.

Although my distaste for you as a human being is brobdingnagian,
what I'm about to do isn't personal.

I've really been looking forward to "The Prestige." I'm happy to see that the trailer doesn't disappoint.

I'm looking forward to Fearless and The Wicker Man.

If indeed "The Illusionist" features Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti as "two men pitted against each other in a battle of wits", then I'm pretty much sold.

"Wicker Man" could be awesome, but I don't have much hope for the "Pulse" remake. "Cure" would have been a cooler movie to see a remake of, but also an easier movie to do a horrible rendition of.

And "Covenant" looks terrible.
