Those fuckers made a sequel. In this sequel, there are girls playing baseball.

This defies one of the very staples of The Sandlot: GIRLS CANNOT PLAY BASEBALL! IT IS LAW!

And that in the ending montage of the original, it's explicitly stated that when one kid moved away and couldn't play anymore, they did not replace him.

The Sandlot was as cherished by the characters in it as it is by we fans.
