Not that it matters, but for future reference. My black screen issue was a result of having a Dual Core, not my graphics card. If you have a dual core or a processor with HyperThreading it will jack with applications. The issue is actually related to how power management works. For instance, disabling Cool'n'Quiet for AMD Dual Cores fixes the issue. There is also a flag you can set in your boot.ini that fixes it, but there have been reports of decreased performance from the flag.Also, you can set processor affinity and that will fix the issue.
He's using a ATI Radeon 9X00 video card, and there are problems with EQ2 running on those cards. Stuff that can help with the problem is listed here.

True. Wasn't trying to say that you may be wrong, was just stating (which I hadn't earlier in this thread) that Radeon 9X00 cards are having trouble running EQ2, and linked the main thread which also listed other ways to fix the problem, if that's the problem he's having.
