I was thinking those Black Rubber (Butyl I think) Gloves that go up past the elbow.
Heavy duty nitrile for general chemical hazards, though you pick your gloves to the chemical that you're working with. You use butyl for esters and ketones, neoprene for some caustics, PVC for petrochemicals, PVA for gases, Viton for chlorinated and aromatic compounds, and Silvershield under nitrile for extremely toxic chemicals, eg dimethyl mercury. Not that I'd work with dimethyl mercury for any sum of money, mind you.
