Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Write fast! You're angry, grrr! Make that show, and forget about things like capital letters, punctuation, and verbs.

A Gunstar...? So, "The last Starfighter is dead!" SEIZE HIM!
Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

I really hope it's better than that Guardian Heroes or whatever game.

Homing + Lightning was the most broken weapon combo in Gunstar Heroes, heh

Aside from its tendencies to lock on to crates and other crap it can't kill, yea.

I'm a big fan of force+fire as fixed shot as well, though.

My favorite weapons were Force + Force, Fire + Fire, and Lightning + Fire.

Or Force + Fire if I'm using Free (whatever one allows you to move while shooting) Shot.

I've heard nothing but good things about Gunstar Heroes, but I've never had the pleasure of playing it.

This is definitely going on my list.

Emulator isn't an issue. Neither would the rom be if I felt like looking for it. But honestly, I don't.

I spent so much time playing Gunstar Heroes as a youth, you have no idea. Anyway, while I have to admit I used Lightning + Homing from time to time, I liked Fire + Lightning for any level besides the 2nd one (Because it was too hard to cause serious damage to Green, with all of his various forms with a lightsaber.)

I'd like to take this moment to restate my favorite weapon type. Fixed Shot and Fire + Fire is pretty sweeeeeet.

Why?

This game is pretty much a more awesome Contra.

YES OMG SPLOOGE!

Gunstar Heroes was one of my favorite games ever! I've been meaning to grab emulators and roms for that and Dragon Force (Another favorite) forever but somehow always forget when I might actually have time.

Because I'm dropping hints, because I just might not be the only person who wants to try it.

BTW, if anyone is out getting the the ROM for Gunstar Heroes, I highly suggest finding the rom for 'Rocket Knight Adventures' as well. Easily my favorite platformer for the genesis ever played. Seems so goofy at first, sword wielding possum in plate mail with a rocket pack, but the game is seriously good.

Plus has one of the best damn final stages ever

On a side note, I strongly agree with El Cuchillo as I'm having little success finding a good Genesis emulator and no success finding anything half decent about one for the Saturn.

In other words, help!

Well, as far as emulators go, Gens has served me well in the past. It hasn't been worked on in a few months a far as I can tell, but it seemed adequate. Doesn't mean it's the only good one out there, just the one I have the most experience with.

Ah. See, I'm dense. You can't drop hints with me, I just ignore them.

Both Gunstar Heroes and the game that Vorago mentioned can be found here.

All times are US/Eastern
