Nothing more needs to be said. Depp and the kid they got to be charlie (And the guy to be the Oompa Loompas!) were all very well cast. Even the evil little kids were believable, and you were kind of sad they didn't die.

Edit: I have to say, the movie would have been better without the redneck in the seat next to me seing a british note and saying "Is that ten dollars?" With me having to correct him, or the same numb-nuts falling asleep and snoring through half of the movie.

Due to the laughing from the masses of dumb kids, I couldn't hear most of the lyrics to the Ompa Loompa songs.

I want some of those TV room goggles.
I don't know how to be sexy. If I catch a girl looking at me and our eyes lock, I panic and open mine wider. Then I lick my lips and rub my genitals. And mouth the words "You're dead."

It was an excellent movie. I'm glad they kept the Oompa Loompa songs -- the movie would have been soulless without them.

Neither, he's made mention of drawing some of this character from game show hosts and other sources. I'm having trouble remembering where I saw the interview...

Can't wait to see this. They finally are putting this in an OmniMax screen up here. (An IMAX variant only they use a domed screen instead of a huge tall screen)

Am I the only person who doesn't worship the ground Johnny Depp walks on? I mean, I love some of the movies he's been in (Edward Scissorhands, Pirates of the Caribbean), but I'm just not a fanboy for Depp.
I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piña coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

The Law of Obvious Jokes and You

What makes a joke not funny? Is it tastelessness? Lack of funny? There are many causes, but one of them is the fact that a known fact cannot be considered a joke or funny.

For example, you, in essence, just said Aury was gay. We all knew that. It's as funny as saying Sean has a job, Snoota has a Mexican girlfriend or Gydyon is a lawyer. Not very funny, is it? Except for Snoota, that is.

If we wanted to twist that into something only mildly amusing, we might say that Sean's a working girl, Snoota craves the pink taco and Gydyon murders babies in their sleep.

This has been a PBSAFILYNGLSEYM.
