Put the following code into your userChrome.css file:

code:
menu[label="Edit"], menu[label="View"], menu[label="Go"] {
display: none !important;
}

Locating the userChrome.css file

Edit: forgot a ]

Is there any way to get Quicktime to fucking work with FF? It doesn't want to, for me.

I tried installing the latest version, didn't do nothing for no one's anything.

Quicktime works for me in FF - the version that got put on my system is the one that iTunes installs. Win2kSP4 if that's relevant.

Install Firefox.
Install Quicktime. (Or QuicktimeAlt)
?????
PROFIT!

What exactly happens? Just a blank space? Does the 'Q' come up and then nothing happens?

Missing plugin -> click to install -> check "Apple Quicktime"... says it's Not Available. Manual install just brings me to QT's site.

Oh, I forgot to mention... The problem is that shit like www.ytmnd.com is the only thing that seems to have a problem. Probably should have mentioned that earlier. Quicktime will play video files fine in-browser.

Ya ytmnd does not work for me either. I get the same thing you do. I'm gonna ask about it on my firefox question I already have on SA. Let's see what they say.

Steven Lynched? But seriously. Here, have a website that tells you that you shouldn't be having any trouble!

Details are important. "It doesn't work" is a really shitty way to describe a problem.

The site looks good to me, but that obviously doesn't mean much. I suspect it's related to the MIME types that QuickTime is associated with. Try to find out what kind of file Firefox can't view and then check to make sure QuickTime is associated with that file by going to Control Panel -> QuickTime -> Browser Plug-in -> MIME Settings...

Myself, I have the QuickTime plug-in set to handle the following file types:

Video: QuickTime movies
MPEG: 3GPP, 3GPP2, SD, AMC, Video (protected)
MP3: MP3 audio
Images: MacPaint, PICT, QuickTime Image

Keep in mind this only tells a browser what files to use the QuickTime plugin on. It does *not* associate those file types with QuickTime as the default player in Windows.

Hope that helps.

This didn't work for me but it worked for other people. Maybe because I have Firefox installed on another partition that isn't C:

Also, just an FYI, a good way to get help for Firefox is to check netscape.public.mozilla.general. Search for answers before posting. If you need to ask a question, be polite and you'll get an answer fairly quickly.
