Actually..its funny, I have a co-worker over here who spent a summer of his youth as a ride operator at Cedar Point and goes there for a week every year to ride the rides. He was talking about this ride today at lunch when a friend of another co-worker was talking about her job at Dollywood.

Considering the ride lenght is supposedly only 18 seconds (you get up to 125mph), not a long ride even when running.

True, it's very short. What I think really makes it impressive to watch (besides the sheer height, the pictures, while good, still don't do justice to it really) is that you START at full speed from a dead stop.
Also, kind of funny with this coaster, is that if wind conditions aren't favorable, the coaster will sometimes not get over that big hill, and instead come right back, backwards, into the starting "barn".

This doesn't sound like a very well designed coaster overall...

In the background of the first picture you see that blue coaster, that's called the Millennium Force, 300 feet tall, and about 3 minutes long in duration. It's a much more fun and thrilling ride in my opinion =)

NullDevice or Cuchillo posted a website a week or so ago, full of random images. Some were pretty funny. I was browsing through them and I remembered seeing that image on the site.

The worst one there for me is the Power Tower. At least, the side where they drop you, not where they shoot you up. You're just sitting at the top (400 feet up, I think. You can easily see all of Cedar Point from there and back to the mainland) for about 15 seconds or so before they just randomly drop you.
