I'm sorry, but with how many games me and my friend have played on a LAN party, that game is just too horribly unbalanced in favour of the good guys.

"The MP checkpoint is not an Imperial Stormtrooper roadblock, so I should not tell them "You don't need to see my identification, these are not the droids you are looking for."

Mechwarrior 2/3/4 can be fun on a LAN, if you don't consider them an FPS.

Also, though you said no FPS's, I'm going to remind you that AvP2 is a hell of a lot of fun on a LAN (and never got the playerbase it deserved, dammit).

Freedom Force!
"He lets the last Hungarian go, and he goes running. He waits until his wife and kids are in the ground and he goes after the rest of the mob. He kills their kids, he kills their wives, he kills their parents and their parents' friends. He burns down the houses they grew up in and the stores they work in, he kills people that owe them money. And like that he was gone. Underground. No one has ever seen him again. He becomes a myth, a spook story that criminals tell their kids at night. 'If you rat on your pop, Keyser Soze will get you.' And nobody really ever believes." - Roger 'Verbal' Kint, The Usual Suspects

Not to mention that if you are Rohan, you get TWO Armies of the Undead and the Balrog costs twice as much as the undead army.

Is there any way to play that game over the intarweb?

Thief: "I have come to a realisation. Dragons are not real in a general sense, but they may exist in certain specific cases."
Fighter: "Like how quantum mechanics describes how subatomic particles can spontaneously pop into existence at random!"

I know that it was possible to play on a LAN, because I used to play with my brother way back when, but I don't know if there's a convenient way of using the web to find games. You may be limited to using just people you know and then using their IP as the name of the game to join.
