If the polls close, and you're standing in line, do you get to vote?

As long as you're in the building, legally they have to let you vote.

So if the line's out of the building, you're SOL?

I honestly don't know what the rules for that are.

The church I always went to, they locked the doors at a certain time.

What CNN said about it a little while ago was that if you were in line before the polls closed, you'd get a chance to vote.

Kind of late to matter now, but I saw a poster at my voting place thathad a list of rights we had as voters. Among the normal "Can't be pressured, entitled to a secret vote" stuff we all know, they had a rule that said as long as you were in line by 7 (The time the polls closed) they had to let you vote.

They reported a bit ago that in Ohio there were still people in line waiting to vote at 4:30am

Different areas even in the same city have different turnouts based on centralization of polling location. Where Lyinar and I were, the density of lines was very very low, but there are people I'm in class with who waited for three hours yesterday morning. It's time of day, location, population density of your polling group versus number of registered voters, etc.
