I present: The Raid on Stormwind!

or

Omgom's Last Adventure!

The wrath of the Horde had been brought to the surface! Alliance attackers staged a raid on Orgrimmar! We could not let this go unanswered, so the call went out through the ranks of the Horde! We assembled at the main gate of Orgrimmar.

The mass was organized! We would ride a Zepplin to Grom'Gol and march north to the very gates of the human city! So after we crashed the server, we finally made it to Stormwind, while most of the Alliance was off attempting to sack Tarren Mill. The fools!

Oh, it was a fierce battle! Our brave warriors stood toe to toe with the fiercest Alliance general and the neverending stream of reinforcements. It was a pitched contest!

The Alliance, seeing their capital attacked, abandoned their assault on Tarren Mill and rushed back to Stormwind. It was not long before the first wave fell to overwhelming numbers.

And so began the slow march into the very heart of the city! Many a brave Horde warrior(including yours truly) struggled against impossible odds. Eventually, the survivors managed to seize and control the Deeprun Tram! A major victory, indeed. Not this shaman, sadly; he was spawn-camped until a bug dumped his corpse outside the city, and the raid was over for him.

But seeing as he were most likely never see the human lands again, Omgom decided not to waste the opportunity and to pay a visit to the human settlements nearby.

He danced for a human woman at Goldshire...

...then contemplated murdering some children and feasting upon their tiny brains.

He visited farmers leaving their lands!

And he stood proud at the base of Sentinel Hill, apparently telling someone to live long, and prosper.

So ends Omgom's tale...for now. Perhaps he will be called once again to defend Durotar from the Alliance. Perhaps he will find himself in newer, stranger environs...indeed, only time will tell what fate has in store for this intrepid shaman.

Yeah, the Alliance was trying to go out with a bang by trying to raid Orgrimmar.

It was about 40 Alliance vs. 20 Horde. Naturally, we won. I managed to kill a few before going down and when I got my corpse, they had all run away and we spent the rest of the time chasing down gnomes.

All this time, another Alliance faction went after Hammerfall. 3 Horde and the guards managed to defeat 15 invading Alliance.

Choose your side well.

That sounds like a balance issue to me

Get Karnaj to testify.

Horde players are capable of following one leader and focusing their entire wrath on a single target at a time. Alliance players have no strategy; they just zerg rush.

Plus we also had two level 75 Guards on our side. Not that it mattered, since they didn't help us.

The humans are probably too distracted by the Night Elf women to actually sit down and talk strategy before a raid.

Because just choosing which side automatically puts you into that category.

I testify only to what I've seen and that is that I have never, ever, ever seen an Alliance raid that didn't end with them running away once opposition showed up.

I think all the Alliance players must have French ancestry. ^_^

It's really true. The mere fact that some of us made it to the Deeprun Tram is a testament to the Horde mentality. At the raid last night, someone took charge, and we followed his commands. As a result, the Deeprun Tram was temporarily a Horde possession. The Alliance had the numbers and turf, certainly; why couldn't they dislodge five or six Horde players? It was high-fifties versus high-fifties; the equipment is comparable, there are no appreciable differences between races ATM. The players behind the avatars are then the only possible cause for the general failings of the Alliance in PvP. The mentalities of the two sides, be they because of nature or nurture, are fundamentally different, and this behooves the Horde.

Given my inclination to choose races by appearance when I'm new to a game, I'll probably end up playing Alliance when I finally manage to play WoW (you guessed it, female night elf). Mayhap I can put some spine into my characters. If not, oh well, can't hurt to try, yeah? And, once I get sick of spinelessness, I can always bid the Alliance goodbye and join the Horde.

Awesome, I'm on the foreground of one of these shots!

You should have been there for the last Alliance raid to undercity yesterday just as the servers went down, they outnumbered us 2 to one, they didn't get past the entrance of the sewers

Edit: Hah, i'm green now!

I celebrated the end of the closed beta by heading over to the Undead are with my Orc Warrior (level 25) and killing that bastard Son of Agrual (level 24 Elite mob, for those not in the know). Killed him solo, and it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
