It starts off a little confusing, really dark and gloomy with a 1950s feel almost. I can't quite figure out what year the movie is suppose to be set in, but it has an 1930s-1950s look. Most of the acting is fairly well done, there are a few actors I wanted to strangle in certain points, but nothing to terrible. The plot is a little akward, and has some holes, but I personally think it was well played out. The movie's tone doesn't lighten up much, and there aren't any really good one liners, so if you don't like serious movies, don't watch this. Also if you didn't like the first matrix movie, don't even bother with this, but other then that, it is a pretty good movie.

Dark city is like the older generations matrix, just with less cool stuff.
