Alright, I have a CD burner and a DVD rom drive. My HDs are SATA but I need to know how I should set up the CD drives. Should the burner be the master and the DVD the slave, or the other way around?

Also, I understand the difference between RAID 0 and 1, but what about RAID 1+0? Is it worthwile?

Thanks in advance.

I have my DVD-ROM as master, and burner as slave. It's worked flawlessly for three years.

'Nother question.

If I have two HD's RAID 0, do I want my CD rom drives on the primary or secondary IDE channel? Thanks in advance.

If your hard drives aren't using IDE channels, put the DVD as primary master and the CDRW as secondary master. Being on separate channels will help with bandwidth across the BUS. How much depends on the design of the motherboard.
