I have run out of happy hardcore to listen to. If any of you would be so kind as to suggest new stuff for me to buy and enjoy, I would be greatly appreciative. =)

I know, tis just that most of what is curently conisdered emo isnt hardcore at all and its pretty damn imposible to convince most pople emo is saposed to sound like anything other then dashboard, so generaly wehn refering to emo Im refering to its present incarnation, and all emotional hardcore i jsut call hardcore, its just easeir for everyone that way (me atleast)

What do you consider hardcore? Hardcore punk?

Not much hardcore punk is really all that happy. Like Vorbis said, if it's happy hardcore/punk, I'd probably call it emo anyway. And if that's what you're looking for, needless to say I have lots. Hah. ;P If not, elaborate and I probably still have a lot.

If you mean energetic hardcore...well, that's an entirely different story. But there is a fine line.

Allow me to assist you all: this would be an example of happy hardcore. It's hyperfast techno music with a hell of a beat, and it's rather bright and peppy.

So, more like Hardcore Techno than Happy Hardcore? To be honest, I don't know of any groups who consistently put out material like that. They Might Be Giants, Ween, The Pillows, Cibo Matto, & The Super Furry Animals have all made at least one song like that, but never for an entire CD. I guess maybe Aphex Twin...Well, actually, no. He's not the happiest fellow in the world. But he DOES have the speed...Whereas The Flaming Lips have happiness to spare, but don't have that hyperfast speed...Whereas Squarepusher can be both hyperfast and have...well, "Come On My Selector" is KIND of happy...But that's all I know.

Why, yes they did! That was their country record, though. They also did a song called "Push th' Little Daisies", and a song called "Ocean Man" that was in...some car commercial. But there really is no one Ween song that can fully summarize all of their talents and eccentricities. The song I was talking about (That could be classified as Hardcore Techno, in my opinion) was off of their "The Mollusk" record, and is called "I'll Be Your Johnny On The Spot".
