Interestingly enough, I'm doing research for my Japanese professor on the opposite...clothes and tattoos in Japanese/Chinese. As part of it, I'm studying the use of English in Asia for a similar purpose, and sorry, as far as I know, its just clothes.

I think the reason he brought this very thing up was because it is such a fad in america to get tattoos of and wear words and phrases in japanese..
