Generally the formula I've always followed, which is sort of accurate, is to take the combined KB/sec and multiply by ten.

100kb/s = 1mbit.
1mb/s = 10mbit.

Etc.

A Kansas City Shuffle is when everybody looks right, you go left.

It's not something people hear about.

thats about right, as there is like 20% overhead on the connection, or so I've heard.

If the connection is symmetrical.

It could only be 1mbit downstream for all we know.

320 kilobyte/sec ~= 2560 kilobit/sec ~= eh... 2.5 megabit/sec... not outragous. My brothers cable providers allow him around a 3ish mbps download (or almost 400 kB/s).

(Or did I misread something?)
