I want to climb with you on a mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea
I want to stay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me

That is the chorus.

Wait, what? Did I miss something? I'm so confused.

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

The Animal Song by Savage Garden!

When superstars and cannonballs are running through your head
And television freak show cops and robbers everywhere
Subway makes me nervous, people pushing me too far
I've got to break away
So take my hand now

CHORUS:
'Cause I want to live like animals
Careless and free like animals
I want to live
I want to run through the jungle
With wind in my hair and the sand at my feet

I don't have any difficulties keeping to myself
Feelings and emotions better left up on the shelf
Animals and children tell the truth, they never lie
Which one is more human
There's a thought, now you decide

Compassion in the jungle
Compassion in your hands, yeah
Would you like to make a run for it
Would you like to take my hand, yeah

CHORUS

Sometimes this life can get you down
It's so confusing
There's so many rules to follow
And I feel it
'Cause I just run away in my mind

Superstars and cannonballs running through your head
Television freak show cops and robbers everywhere
Animals and children tell the truth, they never lie
Which one is more human
There's a thought, now you decide

Compassion in the jungle
Compassion in your hands, yeah
Would you like to make a run for it
Would you like to take my hand, yeah

CHORUS (repeat to fade)

The most popular song when I was 12 was Walk Like an Egyptian! But my favorite was Here I Go Again by Whitesnake. That song still rules.

When I was 12, I remember that "Men In Black" song was huge.

Well, since we're on the subject and all.

Should've done something, but I've done it enough
By the way your hands were shaking
Rather waste some time with you

Should've said something, but I've said it enough
By the way my words were faded
Rather waste some time with you...

When I was 12? 1999. Higher, by Creed was big. So was Smooth by Santana and Rob Thomas. Train - Meet Virginia was either on its way in or out, I don't remember.

The MiB song came out in '97.

... and yes, since the majority of pop culture becomes a blur to me after awhile, I actually looked this stuff up. =\ Christ, I can't believe Semi-Charmed Life came out in '97... seems like it was a '99 thing to me.
