Being a computer geek has its ups and downs.

Ups:

1) People envy you because you can type extremely fast.
2) You know how to fix people’s problems when they come to you for help.
3) You get your work done a hell of a lot faster.

Downs:

1) Sometimes you don’t have that well of a social life.
2) People get jealous at you for getting your work done fast. (Actually that all depends whether you’re a caring person or not.)
3) You finish projects in class before they’re officially assigned, forcing you to have nothing else to do and will get in trouble for not doing your work.

That's an up? People bugging you with their insignificant problems?

You're not a computer geek. You're too helpful and you lack an elitist attitude about your technical knowledge.

I don't know how to be sexy. If I catch a girl looking at me and our eyes lock, I panic and open mine wider. Then I lick my lips and rub my genitals. And mouth the words "You're dead."

This is only true if you believe it.

Seriously women can get away with geek a lot more easily than men can. Here at GT I daresay there are quite a lot of hot, socially active "nerdy girls."

Just something to think about.

I have a good social life.

But then again, I have low-maintenance friends.

I find "Nerdy Girls" very attractive

But then I just have a hard drive when it comes to women

*ducks from thrown objects*

Seriously though, I married my best friend. We were friends first and realized it was more than just friendship. And talk about a geek! This girl gets giddy with glee when I have a math problem I'm having trouble solving Scary!!! She should have been an Engineer not an Accountant

Yeah, well in college, the computer-savvy are GODS.

Too bad that no matter how good you think you are with computers, there are least ten people in your building who are about a thousand times better than you'll ever be with 'em. But such is life.

I am a computer geek, yes i am...

I come into work today, and there are two tech support people trying to get our computer to behave nicely on the VPN (it's dropping packets).

Well, they eventually decide that they need to swap the modem, but the one that they brought is non-functional...

I walk out to my car, grab my spare 56k, my screwdriver set, anti-static wrist strap, and anti-static mat...

Crack the case, swap the part, and it's back up and running in under 2 mins...

They just shook their heads.

Bite me.

No, Really. Bite me.
