I fell asleep around 3:00am.

I woke up of my own free will (ie. no alarm clock) at 7:00am....

...and the WIERD bit is, I'm COMPLETELY refreshed. I've slept for ten- or eleven-hour periods and not felt this refreshed.

BIZARRE eh?

I hope it becomes a habit

11's kinda long, so your body kinda wants to keep sleeping. Or something. A good 5 hours is great for me.

I did this last week from 12 - 5, it was great. I tried to do it again last night (because I needed to hve more time for stuff today) but... it didn't work. I woke up at 8.

Here is what you should try:http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=892542&lastnode_id=124

I find it too... undoable for me.

According to scientific research, seven hours is the perfect sleep/time ratio for an average human. Anything under that can leave you snapping at anyone who talks to you, and anything over can leave you lethargic and sluggish.

Below 5 hours and above 9 is also supposed to increase your risk for heart disease.

Yeah it catches up with you eventually. Believe it shows you actually had very restless sleep and thus got very little REM time in as well.

Hmmm, interesting.
Alas it will ruin your social life.

Don't you mean, BIZARRO?! ahem...

Anyway, one time I slept for a total of about 45 minutes and felt fine the next day when I had to go to school.

Heh... 11am... Normally I get up and the first thing I do is start my day off with 2 nice cups of coffee. Sometimes, finishing the afternoon with a soda for a little extra umpf.

All times are US/Eastern
