They were having a church service, and the two reports I've gotten were that it either started in the Boys locker room or the high school computer lab, but they don't know how.

Wow, that's not cool. Do they have any preliminary guesses as to what caused it?

My school would demand the fire cease immediately, then threaten legal action.

Later it would be discovered that the fire is a history teacher who likes to molest female students.

Nope.

Does anyone know what typically happens in a situation like this? As in, will I have to go to a different school, or what?

You forgot the part about attempting to suspend the fire for destructive conduct. They usually do that right before legal action.

Do you go to a private school? If so, I'd guess you have to go to a different private school, or mayhap the nearest public school. Either way, I'm sure something will be sorted out quickly.

Right now, pray that the school used some sort of out of school server that stored all the grades for students.

That would suck.

For some people.

That'd give me a chance to pass in some more work = higher grades.

They used this for all the grades. Just started using it this year too. And yes, I do go to a private school.

They record our grades in gradebooks, then go home and log onto that site and input everything into there. It's basically just a way to show everyones parents our grades and homework for every class, whenever they want to see it.

Your entire private school was one building?

I'm not trying to insult you or your former place of learning in saying this, but I've never heard of a private school that uses the same builing for athletics as they do academics.

Yep, everything is in the same building except for one that we just use for storage/weight room/bus parking, and one modular (or whatever those things are called), that has the 1st-5th grade classes, but that was fairly close to the school so I'm not sure if that caught on fire too. The school originally started out rather small, and they just added things directly onto the school, and now it is preschool through 12th grade.

I wish my school would go in flames within the next few weeks... we have term testing, semester testing, gateways, and mid year tests... that and I have like so many tests in between that its not funny. I mean what do they try to do, kill the ninth graders so that they cant make it to 10th grade.

If anyone cares, here's a news story and pictures about it. School starts back up on Dec. 2nd and Christmas break starts soon after that, so basically I only have a couple weeks of school in the next 2 months.

Oh yeah, put your problems off now so you can deal with them later.

Funny, a university here in the Netherlands just lost it's entire NOC to a fire as well - sucks dick because their NOC was home to the 2nd fastest network in the world, they had fiber optic around the entire campus, and it routed about 20% of all European university network traffic.

Major bummer too since about 10 million dollars in equipment got torched. The entire university and some local highschools are without network right now, the entire campus is without network, and all the CS students are basically not able to study right now until they get it fixed (which will take upwards of 3 months).
