the game keeps fucking freezing after 2 minutes of playing.

i have the latest nvidia Geforce4 drivers so i don't think that's it.

AND I SWEAR TO GOD, I'M ALMOST TEMPTED TO GO PLAY EQ.

so plz help m3

no, the only change to the comp from the last time NWN was working was the video card.

My brother had the same problem. If you have a SB Live try new drivers.

Hmmm... what card did you have beforehand?

Mine handled my switch from my GF2 Ti to my GF4 4400 without issues...

i'm running a Geforce4 4400 too Mightion.

and i'm never going to touch a SB Live again, so that solves that problem.

and it's just the game that freezes. everything else is fine.

Odd... I have a SB Live X-Gamer 5.1.. only game that gives me sound problems is EQ - have to turn the music volume down - it just keeps looping and stuttering under XP.

Yep, the music will loop itself whenever you are pressing a key. Quite annoying. Not the sound card's fault though.
Wait for the new UI, might be fixed then.

alrighty then. same problem but add Warcraft 3 too.

also, i got a 4-to-3 prong power spliter so i can hook up my GPU fan. that didn't change anything either.

maby check your video drivers again ?, and try re-installing the card, you might have done somthing small that came back to bite you in the ass
